Sebastian Shaw writes fiction that moves between literary horror, science fiction, and satire, held together less by genre than by an interest in moral ambiguity and the small cruelties built into ordinary systems. His short stories include “Number Forty-One,” a piece of literary horror set in a decommissioned lighthouse; “Threshold,” a dark satire narrated by a Roman doorway god during a school shooting; and “Immortality as a Service,” a science fiction novella tracing the economics and politics of digital immortality.

The same instincts run through two longer serials in progress: Warden of Systems, an isekai about a man and his dog, and Superman: Vanguard, an original superhero origin story about a young man whose powers turn out to be shaped as much by the hero he idolised as by the meteor that caused them.
